B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education)

The B.Ed. course is committed to prepare future teachers who are confident, competent and capable of facing challenges of future without stress. It provides an approach to an educationist to inbuilt a set of techniques so as to make themselves capable in studying and guiding children and solving their problems. The core curriculum in education at B.Ed. level encompasses philosophical, psychological, sociological and political aspects which form the foundation for developing the mental-set with regard to pedagogy. Its relevance in teacher's education is kept in mind.

Traditional philosophies of the West coupled with educational thoughts of Indian thinkers form an integral part of core curriculum. From sociological perspective, teacher trainees are acquainted with the nature of society and its changing structure. Students and teachers are exposed to the parameters of Indian system of education, its structure, problems at different levels of education and school management.

Approval and Affiliation : Approved by MP Higher Education, NCTE and Affiliated to Jiwaji University, Gwalior.
Intake : 100
Admission Eligibility : Successful completion of 10+2+3 or equivalent examination with minimum 50% marks.
Admission Procedure : As per the procedure given by MP Higher Education/NCTE.
Course Structure :  The degree comprises of one annual examination. The teaching methodology used in the course includes classroom based lectures, Practice Teaching in Schools, Micro Teaching, Criticism Lessons, Work Experience, Community Work, Social Service, Assignments and Supervised practical training in the Schools.
